Forgiveness

God has brought me back to the islands of Antigua and Barbuda where my parents were murdered and I have been sharing the message of forgiveness on a much greater scale. God has been showing me that there are different dimensions to forgiveness. Forgiving or believing that we are forgiven is vital to our health and wellbeing. If we harbor un-forgiveness it will infiltrate our lives like a disease.

One reason people have a difficult time giving forgiveness to others is because they haven’t really received it themselves. There is something inside of us that just seems to have a hard time believing that God has totally and completely forgiven us. And because we haven’t received His forgiveness ourselves, it is difficult for us to give it to others.

So where are you in the area of forgiveness today? Un-forgiveness is bondage, whether it is not truly believing that you are FULLY forgiven by God or by holding onto a list of wrongs done to you by others. Jesus wants us to live fully free knowing we are fully forgiven!

If you are suffering from un-forgiveness take time to read what the Bible has to say on the subject, meditate on it, believe it, apply it and you will be able to declare like never before, the chorus to one of my favorite worship songs:

My chains are gone
I’ve been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy reigns
Unending love, Amazing grace
