Why Was This Project Selected?
There is a tremendous need for dentistry on Barbuda. Childrens teeth are cavity ridden that is seen in their smiles. A large percentage of the adult population are missing several teeth because basic dental care is non-existent. Cavities go untreated and when teeth become painful for any reason, the only option they have is to pull them.

- Repair all windows
- Install countertops and cabinets
- Paint all cabinets, walls, and trim
- Install equipment donated by Project C.U.R.E.
Project Challenges
I believe the only challenge would be not being able to find Dentists willing to come to Barbuda on mission trips and run Dental Clinics throughout the year. And I know that the Lord would never provide a Dental Clinic and not the Teams to fill it!
What is the potential impact for the local community?
Our goal and desire is to create a Barbuda Dental Clinic which would provide basic and preventative dental care to teach the importance of proper daily hygiene, to have their teeth cleaned and receive much needed fluoride treatments. A Dental Clinic can save teeth by preventing gum disease and having cavities filled before the decay reaches the innermost layer of the tooth.
