Southwest Baptist Conference Women's Retreat

It was such a delight to return to the SWBC Women's Retreat and to be with friends I made last year!  What made it even better is that My Donnie traveled with me this time!  Last year after spending time with Kym & Bruce Sumner, I just knew Donnie and Bruce would become fast friends and they did!  Kym and I are a lot alike as well and it was so good to be with her again!  The SWBC Women’s Retreat is made up of many churches within the southwest region.  Why I mention that is there are no notable signs these ladies attend different churches in different cities and states. How wonderful is that? And what a living testimony this is to how we are all members of one body in Christ.

The Rischer’s were back too!  YEAH!!!  I just love these people and their excellent example of a Godly family.  I could go on an on about all the Rischer’s… But for now I will only mention Melanie who was unable to attend due to having surgery only a few days prior for melanoma cancer.  You were greatly missed my friend and for those of you who may not have heard the wonderful news...her lab tests from the surgery came back with the exact results we all prayed for…all clear...Halleluiah!!!  We are all praising God with you, Melanie!

It was with all of you at the SWBC Retreat that I shared for the first time my new message, “Do Not Engage! A Message of Forgiveness.” I have since spoken this message a number of times and have decided that due to the Scriptural depth of this message, I'm going to make it into a Bible study.  My goal is to have it available at my table and on my estore by September, 2008.  I would ask for your prayers as I embark on this new and exciting adventure in writing my first Bible study!

As I look back at this big retreat I remember the intimacy of many one on one conversations, holding hands and praying with a small group or individuals and laughing - lots of laughing!  Thank you for welcoming me back and for loving me.  There is no greater honor a speaker can receive than to be asked back…Thank you for honoring me and may God bless each of you in ways that only He can!
